Here it is! My very first creation with my art tablet. It took hours to make with my unskilled hands and mind, but I am very happy with the result. I sure hope to do full body stuff at some point, but for now the head shots will have to do. We all have to start somewhere I suppose!

I finally bought an art tablet, and this thing is nice. A risky investment given I am but an aspiring artist. I am enjoying it thoroughly despite my horrid art skills, though.

So many youtube, deviantart and other tutorials on art are now occupying a folder space on my web browser. Very excited, though anything beyond scenery / space art seems to be beyond me. Anything I find is truly designed for those with the basic skills already established, and these I have not. I have plenty of what I call mid-level skillset tutorials at the ready, but what I really need is the 101 and I suppose that takes nothing but practice on drawing shapes. This being in regards to drawing things like dragons and MLP fan art. I would imagine the MLP fan art would be the easiest to start with of course. Up until now I used the pen tool and dragged lines around to create what I have made thus far. Time for that to change.

Which takes me to a request! I have searched a great deal in finding the 101's of art, but perhaps I have missed key tutorials. If anyone has links to share in regards to art basics, I would most definitely appreciate it. So far, the best tutorials I have found were from a dragon art book that was given to me as a gift when I was 14 years old (I save everything dragon related). I have already created one piece from this very book, and I am quite happy with how it came out. To be uploaded shortly. I would also gladly accept any art revolving around scenery. This was truly my original drive for drawing, even as a child. Trees, rocks, mountains, grass, all the basics that go into a nice scenic piece I have been digging for. I seem to find a lot of the that mid-level material. Mostly techniques to shading and coloring. I personally seem to have trouble planting trees into the ground seamlessly, as well as rocks.. and mountains. But hey, I have a great deal bookmarked on how to color everything!

At any rate, my crazy work schedule as kept me away from doing much for the past few months. I sure hope to get to art in my limited time off soon. More MLP related content to come, no doubt.

I hope you all are having as great a day as I am!

After fighting with Xsplit I have switched to Open Broadcaster Software. Other than that, I am loving the twitch scene. I have already met several great people through there, some of which I now game with. I was rather surprised to find such a number of quality gamers out there. Too many years of World of Warcraft & League of Legends communities left me longing, even more than usual, for the time of EverQuest 1 & 2 type games. I have found Smite however, and while there are going to be jerks everywhere, they are in far fewer numbers there. I hope it stays that way, for the most part, as the game grows.

At any rate, I have expanded my streaming to basically anything and everything. Not just World of Warcraft/ArcheAge/Smite, though my offline image still shows these three. I hope to find more people like I have through twitch by way of this post & the Deviant Art community. In all my years here I can honestly say I have met maybe two or three toxic people out of the countless I have talked to.

If you have the time to kill, feel free to check me out at the link below. If you catch me playing something you do, feel free to reach out to me in twitch chat or on here if you feel like joining in. My friends and I are always looking for more great people to game with.

I have finally climbed on board with this streaming thing and will be running nightly (~8pm EST). So far it is pretty neat and I have already met some great people on there. I mostly play:

Smite (Kaesora)
World of Warcraft (Horde/Exodar)
ArcheAge (Firran/Enla)

If you ever want to join my comrades and I, feel free to reach out to me. We are always looking for great people to game with.

Don't thank me yet my friend. You have no idea what I have in store for you in the future. You are on a very short list of potential game designers, should my friend and I decide to go forward with our own ideas. Do you use Unity3D any? My friend is somewhat of an expert on it, and I am learning Blender via youtube tutorials and such. I am also learning art much the same way. As you would see from my tragic gallery, I am nothing but an upstart.

Our games may never be 8-bit, but perhaps you would have an interest in diving in? We are talking long into the future though, and not sure about sales aspects. We have one idea for selling.. it will be somewhat of a Terraria style game we would sell on Steam. Anyhow, our first two goals are simple enough. A multiplayer Astroids style game, and a multiplayer 3D recreation of the Super Mario Brothers 2 for the NES- no doubt you know that one well. I shall keep you posted regardless.

Thank you I appreciate that. I am slowly building up a skill for art. I have so many images I would like to create, and no skill to create them with.. yet!
